j Parker here * I came up with the groove for this song and the line "I got time to change" and then built the rest of the song around this lyric line and the basic groove. My band has been playing this song live for a couple of years. When we play this song I like to let the groove kinda of take over for a bit before I start singing. I find the groove a bit hypnotic. I think the line "I got time to change" can be interrupted many ways. Sometimes the storm clouds may be swirling about but you can usually pull yourself out of problem times and find some peace.
