J Parker Band -- Hi -- J Parker here.  I am a KC musician and I write and record my original songs.  I am exploring different song concepts and themes as well as various instrumental arrangements.

I have been playing guitar since I was 14 * at least * and I have been in bands from about that same time.  Originally from Emporia, KS,  I moved to Topeka -- Green Pepper Band 5 years - next Kansas City --The Blue Ducks next -- Blind Dog Rising -- next -- Willie J Parker Band and now The J Parker Band.  There were some other bands here and there as well.

I still play with Willie J Parker Band.   Bob Gentzell on bass, Donn Weiser on drums, and me -- J Parker on guitar. Donn is a great vocalist and sings the majority of the material for the band.

I sing all the songs on my CD as well as for the J Parker Band.  I like to focus my original work in the recording studio and the J Parker Band.  I hope you will give my songs a listen. Thanks
